Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the MoonBall Golf Strokes Gained Calculator (the "Calculator"), operated by MoonBall Media LLC. By using the Calculator, you agree to these Terms.

What the Calculator is

The Calculator is a free tool for golfers that computes Strokes Gained statistics from shot data you enter. It is provided as a marketing and audience asset for the MoonBall Golf brand. It is not a paid service.

Your account

Signing in is optional. You can use the Calculator without an account; data stays on your device. If you sign in (with Google or magic-link email), you can sync your rounds across devices.

You're responsible for keeping the email account you sign in with secure. You may not use someone else's account. You must be at least 13 years old to sign in.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• Try to access other users' data or break authentication.
• Abuse the sync API or attempt to overwhelm the service.
• Reverse-engineer our backend.
• Use the Calculator for any unlawful purpose.

Otherwise, log golf shots and use the analysis however helps you.

Your data

You retain all rights to the round and profile data you enter. By using cloud sync, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your data only to the extent needed to provide the sync service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Strokes Gained methodology

The Calculator's math implements Mark Broadie's Strokes Gained methodology (from Every Shot Counts), with per-handicap baselines derived from publicly available data. We've reconciled the math against test data, but the Calculator is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee the analysis is correct for any specific shot or round.

Availability and changes

We don't promise uptime, indefinite availability, or that any feature will keep existing. We may add, remove, or change features, including ending the cloud sync service. If we shut down cloud sync, we'll give signed-in users advance notice and an opportunity to export their data.

Disclaimers

The Calculator is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoonBall Media LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Calculator. Since the Calculator is free, your sole remedy for any dissatisfaction is to stop using it.

Termination

You may stop using the Calculator at any time. To delete your cloud-stored data, email support@moonballmedia.com from your account's email address. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, for signed-in users, give notice via email or in the app.
