Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MoonBall Media LLC ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the MoonBall Golf Strokes Gained Calculator (the "Calculator"), hosted at golf.moonball.tv/sgc.

Who we are

The Calculator is operated by MoonBall Media LLC. You can reach us at support@moonballmedia.com.

What the Calculator does

The Calculator helps you log golf shots and see Strokes Gained analysis (based on Mark Broadie's methodology). It runs in your browser and stores data locally on your device. You can optionally sign in to sync your rounds across devices.

Information we collect

When you use the Calculator without signing in, all data stays on your device in your browser's localStorage. We do not see it.

When you sign in (with Google or magic-link email), we collect and store:

• Your email address, from your sign-in provider.
• Your display name, handicap, home course, and marketing-email preference, if you enter them on the Profile tab.
• Saved rounds you create: course, tees played, date, hole-by-hole strokes, lies, distances, club selections, and computed Strokes Gained values.
• Account timestamps (sign-up date, last update).

We do not collect your photo, location, browsing history, or any data from other Google services. The only Google data we receive at sign-in is your email address and an account identifier from Google Sign-In.

How we use it

• To sync your rounds and profile across your signed-in devices.
• To send transactional emails (sign-in links).
• To send occasional product updates if you opted in to marketing emails. You can opt out at any time on the Profile tab or by replying "unsubscribe" to any marketing email.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.

How and where it's stored

• On your device: in browser localStorage under the key mbsg_v1. This persists until you clear browser data.
• In the cloud: in a Postgres database operated by Supabase Inc., hosted in the United States. Supabase is a service provider that processes data on our behalf. See Supabase's privacy policy.

Access to your cloud rows is restricted to your authenticated session via row-level security. Only you (when signed in) and the database operators can read them.

Sharing

We do not share your information with third parties except:

• Supabase, our database and authentication provider, as described above.
• Google, only at the moment you sign in with Google. Google authenticates you and tells us your email and an account ID. We do not share information back to Google about your activity in the Calculator.
• As required by law, in response to a valid legal request.

Your rights

You can:

• Access your data — sign in and view it on the History and Profile tabs, or use the CSV / JSON export tools on the Profile tab.
• Correct your data — edit your profile or rounds in the Calculator at any time.
• Delete your data — email support@moonballmedia.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm and process the deletion within 30 days. Deletion removes all your cloud-stored rounds and profile. localStorage data on your device is yours to clear via your browser.
• Export your data — use the JSON backup or CSV export on the Profile tab.
• Opt out of marketing — uncheck the marketing-email box on the Profile tab, or reply "unsubscribe" to any marketing email.

Cookies and similar technology

The Calculator uses:

• localStorage to save your rounds and preferences on your device.
• A session token (when signed in) to keep you signed in. This is set by Supabase and used only for authentication.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking pixels.

Children's privacy

The Calculator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has signed in, email support@moonballmedia.com and we'll delete the account.

Security

We use HTTPS for all connections, row-level security on the database, and OAuth or magic-link authentication that doesn't require us to store your password. No system is perfectly secure — we encourage you to keep the email account you sign in with secured.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, for signed-in users, give notice via email or in the app.
